The Starlite Drive-In is at 3900 S. Hydraulic in Wichita, KS., a half mile west of Spirit, formerly Boeing. Just take Hydraulic to MacArthur. Or coming south on I-135 (such as from Salina) take the Hydraulic Ave. exit marked EXIT #2 and go left three blocks. (Please DO NOT take the Hydraulic EXIT #10.) Or coming from I-235 take the MacArthur exit and go east 15 blocks to the second stop light.
OUT OF TOWN VISITORS: These nearby motels offer STARLITE DRIVE-IN DISCOUNTS. The discount rates as of July 30, 2007 are noted here. All motels are located just off 47th St. South, and about 1/2 mile west of Hydraulic Ave., about a 5 minute drive to the Starlite. Rates are subject to room availability so reservations are suggested. Ask for STARLITE DRIVE-IN RATES. Tax not included.
There are numerous fast-food and regular restaurants in the immediate area around the motels. HOWEVER, we strongly suggest you try the FULL-DINNER MENU in our large, immaculate snack-bar. In addition to great burgers, fries, hot dogs and chili dogs, you'll find goodies not usually available elsewhere, like our huge, freshly cooked funnel cakes!
BEST WESTERN, 4742 S. Emporia, 316-522-0775 1 King or 2 Queen beds, $69 This is the newest of the motels listed here and is quite nice. Outdoor pool.
HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS, 4848 S. Laura, 316-529-4848 1 King or 2 Queen beds, $85 Older than the BEST WESTERN but in very nice condition. Indoor pool, hot tub and continental breakfast included.
RED CARPET INN, 607 E. 47th St. South, 316-529-4100 1 King or 2 DOUBLES, $49 This is an older, more basic faciltiy than the two above but is very clean and pleasant.
